Arkane Austin has released the final update for Redfall on Xbox and PC. Game Update 4 introduces several new features to the 2023 shooter, including an offline mode.

Neighborhood Revitalization – Community Attitude Presentation
With Game Update 4, activities like unlocking a new Safehouse, completing Safehouse missions, rescuing civilians, or defeating an Underboss will now contribute to a new reputation bar named “Community Attitude.” Assisting the residents of Redfall to liberate their town from the Vampire Lords allows you to earn Support Coins, which can be used to unlock rewards from the Safehouse Skill Tree.
There are six Community Standing ranks offering 39 unique rewards. As you advance through the Skill Tree, the benefits become increasingly impactful. Below are some of the rewards available at each rank:
Rank 1:
- Treat Yourself: Cosmetics nearby appear on your map and compass.
- I’m In: Turrets and Tripwires take 50% less time to hack.
Rank 2:
- The Rest of the Story: Tomb keys nearby appear on your map and compass.
- Ammunition Depot: Human enemies drop more ammo upon death.
Rank 3:
- Well Founded: Take 50% less damage from Rook Storm lightning strikes.
- Castle Doctrine: Safehouse Defense now includes Friendly Turrets.
Rank 4:
- Family Inheritance: Fishermen, Shrouds, and Siphons drop better rewards after death.
- Homeopathic Medicine: Using a medical supply has a 40% chance of not consuming the item.
Rank 5:
- Crystal Ball: Each collected Psychic Remnant Orb has a 40% chance to grant significantly more Psychic Remnant.
- The Last Laugh: When destroyed, Friendly Turrets electrocute enemies within 20 meters. Does not affect enemies immune to electric shocks.
Rank 6:
- High Roller: Rare items appear more frequently in loot.
- Escape Plan: Activates a Bellwether Cloak for 10 seconds after reaching critical health, preventing attacks. This can occur once every 10 minutes.
The Community Standing Skill Tree upgrades offer a mix of quality-of-life and gameplay enhancements, aiding collectors in their hunt for cosmetics and grave hair.
Nest Revamp – Elderly Nest
Game Update 4 introduces Elder Nests, challenging you to defeat specially modified Vampires to free Redfall from their control. These portals, identified by their purple glow, lead to psychic spaces where you must find and destroy the Vampire boss, release the Heart, collect rewards, and escape.
Successfully clearing an Elder Nest grants you (and your teammates) a temporary buff called a Heart Shard, which scales with campaign difficulty. Examples of Heart Shards include:
- Ammunition Synthesis: Regenerates ammo and reloads holstered weapons.
- UV Curing: Gains health when hit by UV.
- Light in the Dark: Weakens vampires within the nest’s expanding aura.
Failing to escape a nest during its destabilization phase results in not receiving Major Remnant, though any loot collected remains yours. Major Remnant is awarded upon successfully exiting the collapsing Nest.
Offline Mode
With Game Update 4, you can now play Redfall offline. This mode allows continued play even if disconnected from the internet during a solo session. In co-op, the host will transition to an offline solo session if disconnected.
Single Player Pause
We are pleased to introduce Single Player Pause, allowing you to pause the game for a break or to adjust your kit, with the game world waiting for your return.
